NEW EAGLES STADIUM

Cornell erected 13,200 tons of structural steel for the new Philadelphia Eagles NFL football stadium  known as "Lincoln Financial Field" in Philadelphia, PA.  One of the unique features of the stadium design is the "boomerang columns" supporting the upper grandstand seating.  The stadium is topped out with a roof canopy which consists of "z" shaped girders cantilevering from the boomerang columns along the east and west grandstands.  Erection began in October of 2000 and was complete three weeks ahead of schedule in July of 2002.
